walk with me

When I’m in town and not lugging around a DSLR as I do when I’m travelling, it’s just handy to take snaps on the iPhone every now and then. It’s almost therapeutic in between posts when I’m cleaning up holiday shots or images for recipes. Are you on my trail yet? Walk with me at @rabbittrick.

The weekend kicks that take me everywhere. They’re such a joy to look forward to after spending a week in heels

Work took me for a walk around the new Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, and it was absolutely lovely. These are desert plants that actually flower in the eternal Spring inside the domed garden.

Pleasantly surprised by these adorable sculptures in the garden

These little babies grow on the side of their mama plant. When they mature, they fall to the ground to begin live anew.

The best thing on a weekday morning

The house recently completed renovations; had to haul massive bags of clothes to the laundromat for cleaning. I discovered that I’m just the person to be able to sit there enthralled by the spinning of the machine. Rather therapeutic, I find.

An after work Friday hangout. Everything in this estate has been commercialised and modernised, except this institution. They have hard to find brews and the perfect ambiance

If you haven’t had a Belhaven, start lookin’. Fabulous IPA

Tell me, aren’t baristas just the most lovable people in the world, so full of love?

A good breakfast done right is pretty hard to beat. I’m almost always in favour of scrambled, sausages and toast, but this toast and poached egg combo is a pretty scrumptious persuasion, too

A favourite weekend hangout that’s simple and honest

Tapas to bring back a little of that Spanish romance we remember and love so much

Fav spanish Mahou at Esquinas tapas bar. Drinking this in sunny Singapore weather is a far cry for snuggling one during Spain’s chilly winter

Squid in squid ink at Esquinas

I just love that people are finding news ways to spell old words!

This is my favourite hangout on Sunday afternoons for drinking a cup of coffee & reading a book. I’m sitting in my favourite seat, and this is, well, its pair. The vantage point from where I’m seated is absolutely perfect.

  1. Squid in squid ink and a beer to wash it down with sounds good right about now :) Enjoyed the post. Never did appreciate Singapore that much….till now. But that’s because I was always in transit.

Shout out! Seven Second Rhapsody loves to hear all your love about food. And travel. And more food.
